Joey Kolbe is a Director of Photography working out of Boston Massachusetts.  Joey comes from the fine arts and has a long history as a special effects cinematographer and stop motion puppet animator. His passion and practice is old school cinematography with a new school approach.

Burn Machine Films was started back in 2001 as a vehicle type company to foster this

technique.  Joey’s “hand cranked” style has earned him many commercial and independent cinematography awards and among colleagues the nickname “Mr.Billy Blitzer.”
